Job Purpose/Summary Statement:

 The primary duty of this position is to seek, contact and negotiate with potential and current customers to achieve sales and assure customer service goals are met for HTS Ag, and to provide support and installation on products.

 Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities

·         Focus on sales activities of all HTS Ag solutions and services

·         Provide support on ag products, including customer service, installations, phone support and training

·         Focus on companywide marketing activities of all products and services HTS Ag markets to entire geographic region

·         Work with Territory Mgr. and other sales staff to achieve sales goals

·         Complete all required reports and forms in a timely manner and as required by management

·         Maintain an accurate and up to date customer list with detailed account information in Odoo

·         Ensure all company transactions are conducted in an ethical and prudent manner

·         Attend trade shows, conventions and seminars.  Read trade publications to enhance professional knowledge

·         Present quotes with delivery time approved by the HTS Ag policy

·         Ensure timely and accurate returns of misquoted, mis ordered or incorrectly shipped product

·         Assist in collection of accounts receivables

·         Attend all required staff meetings

·         Other duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications/Skills:

·         High School diploma or equivalent; or 1+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred

·         Prior agricultural experience required; Precision Agriculture preferred

·         Solid customer service abilities including telephone, email and computer/CRM skills; demonstrated proficiency with business collaboration tools such as MS Office Suite

·         Experience with computer related functions in the areas of word processing, spreadsheets, database, internet and accounting

·         Enthusiastic and dedicated to the challenge of helping people

·         Function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, client orientated team

·         Must be able to work with a variety of personalities

·         Superior communication skills in working with technical and non-technical people, and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relations among all levels of an organization

·         Ability to prioritize responsibilities and to operate with changing priorities; delivers on multiple projects and events simultaneously

·         Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; work well in group problem solving situations

·         Ability to make professional and effective presentations to individuals and groups

·         Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; look for ways to improve and promote quality; apply feedback to improve performance; monitor own work to ensure quality

·         Excellent follow through to see projects and tasks through completion

·         Self-starter with the ability to perform independently with little or no supervision

·         Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance

·         Ability to pass a background check

·         Must possess a valid US Driver’s license & good driving record

·         Ability to make decisions in matters of significance

·         Keep company vehicle and equipment clean, well maintained & organized

Measures of Performance:

·         Achieve or exceed the team sales and margin goals as presented by the management team

·         Internal company satisfaction scores as measured by fellow teammates.  This includes communication, attitude, service to others and ensuring that all paperwork is forwarded to the company in an accurate and timely manner

·         External customer satisfaction as measured by customer and prospect surveys.  This will include communication, the sales and service process, service delivery and professional conduct and image

·         Training objectives achieved as requested by management

As required to maintain level of expertise required to serve clients.
